Contract and Evaluation
Contracts
I understand there are 3 main types of contracts. A written
contract, verbal contract and standard contract
Written Contract
Written contract provides certainty and evidence from both parties evolved. They clearly layout and discuss details of the contract once they come to an agreement it is then put into a document and both parties sign it in order to make it official. Some benefits of having a written contract is that it can serve as a record of what was agreed. It can give you security and peace of mind knowing you have work, for how long and what you will be paid. Risk includes that the court won’t enforce the contract because you may not be able to prove the existence of the contract.
Verbal Contract
Written contract provides certainty and evidence from both parties evolved. They clearly layout and discuss details of the contract once they come to an agreement it is then put into a document and both parties sign it in order to make it official. Some benefits of having a written contract is that it can serve as a record of what was agreed. It can give you security and peace of mind knowing you have work, for how long and what you will be paid. Risk includes that the court won’t enforce the contract because you may not be able to prove the existence of the contract.
Verbal Contract
Verbal contracts are contracts which a spoke between 2 or more people, verbal contracts can be supported with the right documentation if this is not provided you should always make a note of factors within the contract in order to counteract any problems in the future.
Standard Form
Standard Form contracts is a contract which has been habituated, most of theses terms are set in advance. this means there has been no negotiation between the coteries. in most conditions the contract is biased towards the coterie who prepared the contract.
I have been asked by Sky to create a 2-3 minute long video promoting London transport, the contract has been negotiated between sky and South Thames college. I understand that I have to try and show as many types of travel as possible. Within this contract i believe there is no set budget i will be using the equipment available and provided by the college any other equipment I may need or want to use will have to be provided by me on my own accord making me responsible for it . furthermore any music I may use in the edits will be copyright checked, in order to avoid any copyright law violations.
During
the editing and filming time allocated to me I found it difficult the first
time to edit the video in time as I had never used the software before however
as the process went along I became more able to use premiere creative cloud do
to the practice I had gained. For my finally video i decided to stick to the day to night theme of my entertainment video i created a short introduction using after effects just to add some extra visuals to mash up as not all my camera shots are as good as i would have liked them to be. recollecting back to when i was filming i feel as though i should have the thought and looked more into the lighting of the shots doing this my video would have looked much better, less dull and more vibrant. In conjunction with this i could have used different copyright free music to make the video more upbeat and less tedious. Stating this I am happy with mu decision to transition my video from day to night and to incorporate text and information into the video to make it informative.

Fashion Final Video
Fashion
When filming for the fashion video I found it easy to get the shots I wanted to film and use in the edit however, looking back at the video now I feel as though I could have elevated my original idea by perhaps organising a fashion shoot to get some model closeups, or even by getting some face to face shots with people who have different styles. I also could have done a few vox pops asking questions such as: whats your staple fashion piece for this season? or where is your favourite place to shop in London?. Furthermore I could have also added so text to the video to link it with my previous one.

London Transport link
London Transport
My initial idea for this video was to do a day in the life of showing a person’s everyday route to work or college in order to show the different types of transport. However after further looking into this idea I came to the conclusion not to go ahead with is idea, as it wouldn’t allow me to fit in as many different types of travel I would like to. Instead I opted for a simple informative video showing different elements of travel along with text giving some information on that particular form of transport. For example I used the red bus in my video and added the typical journey price in subheadings.Looking back at my final video I am happy with the way it came out I like the informative style I chose to take when editing this video. some improvements which I could however take would be to think meticulously as to the shots I chose to film rather than just filming every mode of transport I saw instead of sticking to my original plan. Considering this i still feel as though I have done a good job filming and editing on software I have never used before.

The Last kings of Scotland Question and Answer
As the sequence begins, what sounds do we her before the music begins?
- As the sequence begins you hear diegetic, ambient noise before the music starts the sound is mixture of light wind and rustling keys.
As the music begins we only see nichola's face, not what he sees. how is the music used to indicate that all is not well?
- the music indicates he is not well as it builds up and increases in volume the violins stringing long notes adds to the suspense this indication of unsettling behaviour is also shown by the shots used in this scene we can see a side profile, close up of his face which also adds to the suspense
How does the music change as he picks up the photograph?what mood or emotion is suggested?
- when he picks up the photo the music changes from string instruments to brass instruments creating depth the low pitch in the music adds a sock factor to the science this combined with the over the shoulder shot in turn creates a complete seriousness to the whole scene.
As he notices the envelope. how does he music indicate that it is unlikely to contain good news ?
- as he picks up the letter the music slows down completely almost to a pint were you can no longer hear it. then as he brings the envelope closer to himself the music suddenly builds up cadenza like this is usual to have mid way through a piece typically the movement is only used at the end of the piece.
How does the music change as he opens the envelope and discovers his new Ugandan passport? what does the music tell us about nicholas' feelings?
- as he sees this the tone of the music deepens they do this by focusing on the mound coming from a brass instrument possibly the horn this combined with the double bass cello and violin adds to the low pitch and tone. this music tells us that is is unsettled and or troubled by seeing this passport
The image changes to blurred headlamps. a new style of music is heard try to describe this music as he gets to the door
- the music changes to a divertimento piece this agains is adding suspense combined with the blurred headlamps is telling the view the characters mindset is troubled and upset. the combinations of the strings prolonging there note is once again creating suspense.
